RAM Prices

Post by Derek »

RAM and memory in general is so cheap... I have the urge to fill up all the RAM slots in my computer

How does 4GB sound? I think I could run Windows off of 4Gigs of RAM, no? :P

More the 2GB does not really do much.

I had a machine loaded up with 16GB once. All it was good for was setting up some ram drives for stuff really.

Here in the UK, the price for 168-pin SDR DIMMs (the type required for the BP6) is really high, whereas DDR RAM is much cheaper. They say it's because the RAM is now hard to find, and lots of people want to upgrade their old computers rather than buy new ones.

I could sell my 768MB RAM for about 150 UK pounds at today's prices.
