rvsjimbo,
The fastest Cele-1 chips are 533Mhz. Intel then did a generation jump with the Cele-2 & these newer chips go up to 1100MHz. They can be OCed to about 1.2GHz fairly easily.
To use the Cele-2 series CPUs, which are no longer SMP (dual CPU) capable, you need to either buy a socket adapter (Neo-370-$25-PowerLeap.com), or mod your BP6 (soldering).
To really boost the BP6 performance, the get P-III/1100e/256K processor. Again you will need the Neo-370 socket adapter (or serious board mods). The P-III can operate in SMP mode on the BP6 and easily overclocks to 110MHz FSB=>1.21GHz. After getting one P-III going, you can add a second if you can solder one wire inder each CPU socket to enable Dual-P3 operation. This gets to be a lot of money - close to $300 for (2) P-III/1100Es and (2) Neo-370 adapters.
The Cele-3 chips (Tualatin) are not, as yet, BP6 compatible - even with the latest adapters.
