I've got 8 actually running at the moment with probably 9 more going online as soon as I get time to set them up. One is still in the "I'm building it stage". One I just won on an auction, waiting for it to arrive. The rest are all here in sort of running order. Just need time to work on them and to order some more KVM switchs :bigroll:

The poll result was kinda intersting when I voted. The higher the number of computer...the higher the number of people using that many. Whoda thought we have more users running 7 then 4 and more running 4 then 1. WOW.
There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.

Bp6

Post by Merlin55 » Thu May 12, 2005 1:12 pm

Well I recapped the BP6, and loaded Xandros Linux OCE ver 3.0 onto it. I'm still short of memory but I must say, XPeee is a slug and Xandros flies!! Still got to find and IRC client I like & a messenger clone. But I'm thinking she's ready to come to my desktop once I add another 128megs into the mix. only OC to around 550, as I haven't tested higher speeds with Xandros installed.

There are many irc clients for linux.

My favourites are: -
GUI based - X-Chat - Comes with most distros and can be found here http://www.xchat.org/
Console based - Irssi - http://irssi.org/
Console based - BitchX - http://www.bitchx.org/

As for the messange clone I find aMSN works well - http://amsn.sourceforge.net/index.php

There are other messangers that will do multi network, but personally I've never liked them.

Welcome to the grand tour! GRAND TOUR! Dragonball GT!

i only have 3 systems up and running atm but i will eventually build more. i've still gotta work on getting that second BP6 operational

BTW jsut a suggestion to windows users that have multiple PC's and limited monitors and keyboards (i have 19 mice :s ugh)

a program called RADMIN is really goo to control multipl pc's using one mouse keyboard and monitor

my bp6 and 1.2 duron have no mouse keyboard or monitor and using RADMIN i have complete control over them :) (except when i need to access the bios)
