Finally! This game has been in the works for how many years now? I can't wait :)

(Finally and excuse to upgrade my GFX card).

Stupid date format, took me a couple of minutes just to figure out what year we're talking about. :P
Hung over like hell and having to think about trivial things like that, jeez!
For those in a similar position as me, here, I'll help you out: 2004-08-03

Can't wait. A new id release is about the only thing that gets me excited enough to play games these days.

Jeeez, I sound old.

WTF
Why on earth would you want to use a YYYY-MM-DD format?!
I still think that everyone should use a DD-MM-YYYY format, it's easier
yea, back from the dead

If it ain't broken, mod it until it is

I can come up with a dozen reasons, but you're also partly right, in text it's more natural the way you "read the date". The problem arises when different languages and countries "read" it differently.

Anyway, the main reason I promote the YYYY-MM-DD format is because I use it in some filenames, e.g. pictures and documents. This way files get sorted in the correct order (chronologically) in directory listings. YAY!

well you can put mmddyy in the attributes of a file and then sort by what you want, but that'd be too easy :invi_tounge:
btw: I like these new emoticons, they make it easier to express myself :woot:

That would definitely be too easy, especially when using Microsoft products :P

Haven't tried it on the BP6, however, I beat the game on my AMD machine.

I wish the ending was a little more "fulfilling".

It's running on my BP6 in 640x480 on Ultra Settings with 20FPS in Timedemo1....but it only uses one CPU...i hope that the Linux will give a better SMP support...

I doubt that the Linux version will be multithreaded if the Windows version isn't. A shame really. John Carmack was once all for SMP and spoke highly of it. He must have forgotten....

You are right it's a shame, but i think that the thread handlin of *nix is better than Windows...can't wait until the FreeBSD port will arrive...the little devil will surely kick some ass 8)

Maybe there will be point release with the magical "+set r_smp 1" option...

This is from my autoexec:
com_showfps 1
ui_showGun 0
seta g_fov 130
com_videoRam 128
set com_allowconsole 1

I run the gam at 1024*768 4xAA and 4xAF.
And I only have a 5900XT.
I average 30 or so FPS, when the videos plays it drop drasticly.......

Some GLDoom action........
