Yo! Hockenheim tomorrow! Silly season is in full swing and Kimi is finally driving a car somewhat worthy of his talent! Anyone think that he or one of the BAR's can put a dent i Schumi's armour?

On of the big teams should give Button a serious go....he's quick, smooth and fast!
13th > 2nd is a real good performance....

Jenson Button is from just down the road from where I live.

It's great that he's calmed down a lot now. The maturity he's shown this season has led to some great performances.

Webber in Williams next year yeah! He is one of those good drivers that is sitting in a shitty car (sorry to all Ford/Jaguar fans). For that matter I would rate Fisi the same way. Hopefully he will be able to show what he goes for next year at Renault.

well, they're all good.
you don't get to drive one without knowing what you're doing ;-)

maybe a field of 32 Ferraris would show who's the champ ?
or should it be 32 Minardis ...

The drivers should rotate between teams during a season; 16 races, one with each car.

But then teams wouldn't contract a driver, so WHO would pay their wages???

The teams would pay an "entrance fee" to Mr. Ecclestone, and the drivers would get paid depending on their success in the races.

Interesting idea, but NEVER going to happen....
As the FIA seem determined to force the regs for next year, they need to get rid of as many driver aids as possible. It should be possible to get rid of traction control, anti-stall and the other aids so the real best drivers have a chance! If you fluff a gearchange, it will cost you. If you can't balance your throttle around a corner, then you will get passed....
I believe without driver aids we'll see the best drivers, AND get better racing!

I think it's equally important to know which team makes the best car. If you remove all technology from the cars it's unfair against the "good" teams. I know, there are the safety issues etc. and thus we will never see a totally fair competition...
Anyway, personally I think WRC is much more interesting than Formula 1. If only more people thought so :P

True, you need to have good teams....BUT if you remove the driver aids, surely you will still get good teams and bad teams? And bad drivers and good drivers? People will always interpret rules differently, just drivers and engineers should be able to make decisions not software engineers on how the car handles/changes gears....

We have different cars now, just there is less overtaking and less mistakes in things like gearchanges, and anti-stall and stuff like that reduces driver input.....

Well! That is that, another season to look back upon and another season to look forward to.

Any predictions for the upcoming 2005 season?
