I am into stereo equipment in general, but haven't had the time to buy or fix any hardware for a while.

I've been fixing broken stuff ever since I was a little kid. When we used to go on family holidays and visit relatives, they always brought out all their broken household goods and I'd get to work.

ok,

today was a special occasion... i was bored out of my mind...

after making 2 trips.. one to k-mart and the other to ACE.. and $25 later... i decided to completely redo the wiring of my amps in my car...

i took a piece of pressboard (that was actually a piece of a desk long destroyed) and mounted both my most used amps.. took my non-electronic crossover and made a homemade 6 prong adapter (you know how the back of house stereos look with the rows of rca plugs? well i took a set of 3 (6 total) and made a kinda.. splitter out of it) mounted them all to the board.. i replaced all the wires, the RCA cables, and the speaker wires (i used a computer power cable for the neg remote and +12 :P) works great!

got it all and decided to get a new box for my DVC speaker (dual voice coil)

so now everything looks nice and clean and pretty and all... one problem.. the box i got was too small >:| gonna have to port it :/

anywho..

just thought i'd babble a bit

I like stereo stuff too. We played with it a lot in my electronic classes. building amps and such as well.

I use AWG 12 for all of my speaker wirign and AWG 8 for my subs. Even though I'm not pushing more then 200 watts to each.

Yes, I know what the word overkill means and.... I like it

hahaha

you mean there is something other than overkill?

dude..

i got 2 12" woofers today in a box.. the guy took the old 15" back and gave me 2 12's... i thought that was cool..

they are old pioneer woofers, aint the best but they sound decent

gonna try and find 2 bazooka's with the silver coil and spiderwire :P

anywho..

eventually i'll get my hands on a digicam and takes some pics

Yeah I like stereo stuff, now I'm out of school and working full time I'll hopefully able to afford the time and parts to build myself a decent quality headphone amp for my glourious HD600s, thinking of trying out some valves for that warmer feel.

Nice speakers, kuun.
Regards,
John
