Yesterday evening I added a Java chat box in the middle of the front page right above the "Headlines" box. I took it down because it looked a bit out of place. If you want to use the chat box while I figure out a better place for it, go here: http://www.bp6.com/board/chat.php

Yeah, I guess that is the way it will have to work.

Of course, you can always use mIRC to connect too.

use mIRC!

derek.. do you or hal ever talk?

i like the idea of the java client..

althogh i like the idea of the java chat box on the front page.. that way new users can see us talking when they come to the homepage..

but then again having the chat box open in a new window would be better for bandwidth... that way not everyone is on it at once :P

Yup, Hal and I chat.

The only problem with Java is that some people have Java installed, and others don't. I'm still trying to optimize the script.

ok so we have 7 ppl who are addicted to irc..

yet there are only about 4 active peeps on irc.bp6.com

NO MORE EXCUSSES! get your butts on irc.bp6.com so we can harrass you :P

but seriously, we need more users..

and the more IRC users the better we can communicate about what the forums needs, what we like, dislike, and ideas we have

also.. it's REALLY good to exchange compuer specs and info

besides.. you get to see my SCSI server online :P

I second what kuun says.

People should be in there when ever they can be.

No more Excusses!

More uses will make it an even better place.

We should work on a meeting date to get as many people in chat at one time as possible.

Would anyone like to nominate a time?

Maybe two times would work better.

How about 10:00:01.6 exactly (GMT). Tonight in #bp6  :P

Or do you think people would need more warning?

I think people will need more warning, but if it's twice a week, they can catch us the next time we're in the channel.

OK, this Sunday coming (21Dec03), It would be nice to see some people in the Chatroom.

If you have a IRC client then point it to irc.bp6.com then join the#bp6 channel.

Then maybe the Sunday after Christmas (28Dec03).
