I wonder if it's gonna go back up to 12 hours a WU........
I rember when I first started, my 233 was getting 8 hours a WU
Then they made a new client and it went up to 12
Then I got my BP6 and was getting 5 to 6 hours a WU
Then they made 3.xx client and it went to 12-14 hours a WU
Now I got my AMD 1700XP and getting just over 3 hours.

It never fails, I get a faster PC and they change on me and the WU take forever..........
Oh well, I hope it's ready right away when this Seti is done, I cant see letting this thing site and idle, I dont much care for the other dist. computing projects......

Does anyone else notice the gap in the expected end of data for the first project and the start of the new client? I really expect them to run out of wu's before that unless they factored in the ever faster machines people are using.

If there is nothing useful for my machines to do and I turn them off unitl the new project comes online I think it will freak them out at work seeing a huge drop in the electric bill. Then again we might have to turn the heat on in my department instead of running the A/C all the time if gets cold out.

I am glad that I wil lbe able to start the new project with a good setup  instead of 1 machien that takes near 50 hrs for 1 wu as it did when I first ran the windows client on my celeron 333 before I overclocked it.

I guess we will just see what happens.

I registered on Nov. 15th 1999, but didn't start returning results for a couple of months due to the firewall @work

I Registered on: Sat Sep 11 21:47:07 1999 UTC but I just had 1 machine that ran seti only while I had it on. Then about 5-6 months later I figured I should run it on machines at work.

I remembmer with I was excited about doing 100 wu's per week. Now I do that when I have all of my machines working.
