cpu #2 fan header blew - how to fix?

Post by m0gely »

i have a multimeter and generally know how to use it. any help would be appreciated. it just doesn't work. i can take the fan for cpu#2 and put it over on the header for cpu#1 and it works fine. right now i have an extention i made from another fan going down to the case fan header at the bottom of the board. that heade is lame though cause it doesn't monitor rpm's.

I think you should just be able to run a link wire across under the board from +12v on the powersupply connector to the positive pin of the fan header.... check continuity from a working fan header across and it will point you in the right direction. Will confirm it in a few days while I am doing the capacitors in my BP.

I was wrong, sorry, it seems it does not come directly from +12v, I buzzed out my mobo while it was out.
