LinuxCompatible.Com threw this one up:

I downloaded the ISO's last night. Might install tonight. Anyone else taking a plunge?

Won't run on 286/386/486 processors.

Finally worked out my installation problem last night! Jeez!

Had to install from ISO's copied to my DOS hard drive (ATA/66). Once I was in the GUI install interface, an error message displayed after the first partition message. The error contained a reference to "sr0". I have been researching this problem for a couple weeks and ran into some information about the install script not creating SCSI CDROM drive devices (dev). Here's what I did. After the error about "sr0", I pressed CRTL-ALT-F2 to go to the console. From the console, I used "mknod" to create device files for the two SCSI CDROM's I have in my BP6.

mknod /dev/sr0 c 11 0

mknod /dev/sr1 c 11 0

Pressed CTRL-ALT-F7 to get back to the GUI install, click OK and here I am running MDL 10.0 with the 2.6.3 SMP kernel!

I'm going to post more about the 2.6.3 SMP Kernel in our Linux section. It kicks Serious A**!
