Back & Kickin'

Post by Derek »

Were back online with our new BP6.Com HQ server: A Pentium 4 2.4GHz machine accompanied with 1gig of RAM and 80Gigs of HD space.

The reason we were gone for so long was because the techs at the site where we're hosted at had some problems allocating additional IPs for the new server.

I hope this is the last of our downtime for a long time to come.

To celebrate, we’re going to be adding a ton of stuff to BP6.Com during the weeks to come.

Derek, I have a question. Can you explain you're location is Canada and the server is located in Texas?

Of course!

Our servers are hosted at RackShack (www.rackshack.net) and RackShack's data center is located in Texas. It works out perfectly because Tim happens to live in Texas too :)

I manage all the servers remotely from my abode in Montreal :D

So it is your own server on at their location? Howmuch does that run you a month, & how much of a pipe are you paying for with them? I may have to ship hal6000.com down to TX if it is not to bad. :)
