"The modified P2B-DS successfully ran memtest86 for 48 hours without error at 140Mhz FSB - this appears to be the upper FSB limit for stability on the P2B-DS."

The modification worked without problems with the BP6 stock BIOS , it detected the correct voltage without problems.
Harker, my "Lin Lin" adapter is jumped as "old intel motherboard" (I don't remember which jumpers were now).

xrebycse: the settings are for "lin-lin" adapter. Powerleap Neo s370 only have 2 dip switches.

derek

you need to get someone to do some serious testing in this matter

and find what will actually work and where to get it

this will help people better so they have a guide like the p3mod guide

Hopefully we will have the same success with Pentium3 Tualatin processors.
New member, first post!

Just wanted to let you all know that I just got this same mod working.

Check the Tualatin 1.4 Sticky in the overclocking forum for all the details.
Welcome, dalamar! :D

That's pretty slick. Hope to see some more posts :)

Isn't the Lin Lin enought

Post by ntloser »

Hi, I recently came a across an old computer with an 810 chipset PPGA.. I ordered the lin lin adapter and a 1.3 tualatin celeron.

Can't I go right from PPGA to FC-PGA2? Shouldn't I just have to set the vcore and bus speed on the lin lin?

Hi ntloser,

can´t really help you with the lin lin. But IIRC boards with the 810 chipset should support PPGA and FCPGA CPUs. So if you have a FCPGA -> FCPGA2 adaptor, you shouldn´t need another one.

The FCPGA2 spec is a bit vague. Some are pin compatible with FCPGA, some aren't, eg my PIII933 is FCPGA2 with IHS, but it fits on an FCPGA board. Laater FCPGA2 chips have a different pin-out.
