The New BP6 - WOW!!!

Post by InactiveX »

A company based in the US called "Polar Foil" have announced plans to manufacture the "new BP6". On their website, a spokesman for the company says:

"The Abit BP6 is known as one of the most successful dual-CPU consumer motherboards in history.

Having noticed improvements made to support Symmetric Multiprocessing in the leading operating systems such as Windows and Linux, we wish to offer today's users the same affordable functionality that the BP6 gave to customers when it was launched in 1999.

Customer feedback has allowed us to learn many lessons. The re-engineered BP6 will be available with a choice of surface mount components. In particular, we have purchased the last remaining stocks of Highpoint HPT366 controller chips that were a selling-point for the BP6, and will be fitting the device to customers who require it."

WOW!!! See http://www.polarfoil.com for more details.

InactiveX,
I clicked ont the link and...

WOW WOW WOW

Those PICs are increadable.

And the bus speeds they talk about on that new board....all I can say is WOW.

I also liked the way they now don't even need a heat sink on the new BXxtra440 chipset.

Shhh.. It's a secret!

Hey, you are not supposed to let the cat out of the bag.. I have been secretly working with Mr. _____ on development of the new BP6 v2.0 since Abit did not follow suit like they did the BH6 v2.0. Not even Derek (aka Daredevil) knows about it.

Shhh! Hopefully no-one else saw this post..

it uses the new 768meg ram sticks too. Dereks pic shows a board with 1.5 gig of ram.

I love those gorilla caps.
