As the natural successor to BeOS, I look forward to the day when I can install it on my much-loved Abit BP6!

I'm still around!

My BP6 still lives - sort of - it's in bits and pieces. My current main PC is a 2.2GHz Core2Duo O/C to 2.6Ghz. It's running on an Intel DP35DP motherboard, which I really like.

First of all, no-one owes you any answers, so please don't get so hot-headed about it. Bad manners won't get you very far.

Have you tried another PSU?

Hi Henrik, It has been reported over the years that the BP6 can be rather fussy with all three memory slots filled. Sometimes modules will need to be replaced, other times swapping the order they are in may work. It is worth noting down the order you have them in incase you need to dismantle the BP6...

"Skulltrail" - Intel's New SMP Motherboard

The Inquirer takes a look at Skulltrail, Intel's new SMP motherboard. Read the article There are a lot of superlatives about Skulltrail: the first to run eight CPU cores at 4GHz, and the first to fit in four PCIe x16, both physical and electrical, graphics - or other - card slots. The first to alloc...

Most of these flaws theoretically could be exploited by attackers to run unauthorized anti-smugness software on the Mac, although some of them had other insecurity implications, such as allowing an attacker to gain access to sensitive Adobe© InDesign© information or download files to the computer...

See if you can get an ISA video card. Provided your BIOS chip is working, you should be able to get it back up with just a monitor, keyboard*, floppy drive and bootdisk including BIOS files. I've kept an ISA video card stashed away ever since the bad flash I mentioned earlier, just in case. I would ...

Hi there Killen. Good to have you on board, and I hope we can sort out your BP6! I have had a bad flash on my BP6 before. I brought it back from the dead by using an old ISA video card. Using one of these cards, you can get the BP6 to just about function with a display and floppy drive. From there y...
