I'm jumping back and forth between linux and windows so i can do some homework with it. the hd is a western digital, and it does have a temp sensor. i've used it in windows before. Im using xandros/debian but to make a long story short, i have no compiler anymore and it says it requires itself to in...

when the computer is warmer during the day i get reading from temp file errors within minutes.
sorry, i mean prime 95 has read from temp file errors when it gets hot.
The hard drive is indeed a little hot right now, and its been almost idle for a while. i'll see if i can put a small fan next to it.

still chasing around stability, but getting somewhere...

I've been chasing sround stability issues, and i've got it so prime95 will run under windows or mprime under linux for about 12-17 hours before getting a rounding error. this is acceptable with me, but when the computer is warmer during the day i get reading from temp file errors within minutes. its...

after reading that post, i tried to boot to beos... when it first starts up my monitor tells me the signal is out of range. The only thing that will make the screen work is alt-f4. the screen came back but there was no desktop, just the taskbar. no programs would run from the menu, and the taskbar i...

setting up a new install

I recently installed BEos next to xp. I like the boot manager better than anything else, it's so simple. The main things i want from an OS are stability, quick easy web browsing, and instant messaging. rarely do i play pc games anymore, ps2 fills the slot. the stability is great, this is why i dont ...

both those civics are the perfect example of a ricer. :bigroll: usually one will have neons and stickers and such first, then the guy will do some really expensive upgrade to the motor to make 90hp instead of 60; thinking this makes it fast, and it's no longer a ricer. but when it has neons, and a s...
