Now it will only take me 23 yrs to pass HAL. On the other hand, Aus Terror passed me today. It will take over a month before I pass someone else and get my position back.

Closing in on HAL in the stats

It will only take 284 years to catch him. On the other hand DareDevil will catch me in about 4 days.

Thanks for putting the stats back up.

I have been running SETI Driver, but I have started trying SETI Commander on one of my machines. Next step is using it on my BP6. The program is SMP aware and will handle 31 processors.

I believe that Win2K Advanced Server will support 8 processors. That should be cheaper/easier to get.

Good Luck

Think of it this way. BP6/VP6 User Group is placed 44th of all SETI teams. HAL is the top dog of our group with 71500 units. I am in 23rd place with 7600 units. How does your group compare with that.

SETIdriver allows you to cache multiple units for future processing. If I remember right, future updates to the SETI client will have this caching built-in. I also use SETIdriver and cache 20 units on my BP6 and on my faster PCs.

You can run 2 sessions of the SETI client, but I use SETI Driver. It also allows you to cache several units for future processing. This works great for dial-up or if you broadband connection is unreliable. I cache 20 units on my BP6 and my faster cpu's. The link to SETI Driver can be found off the S...
