use the BLACK IDE ports - the ones which go with the floppy port next to them.

DO NOT use WHITE IDE ports - this is HPT3666 controller and this one may screw your HDD, like it did to mine some time ago - I lost ONLY 50% of data on it.

what do you mean standart controller? IDE-only one? then I would suggest reinstalling one more time.

I mean more than 2.3V I used once the program "rise of BP6" or something and managed to get them running at 2.45V... after like 45minut...

I would like to try that in the bnear future, but would like to know if someone did it before me and how about the results...

It's tempting, I know, to use the HPT3666. After all, it's right there waiting. Thing is, I tested it and found it to be *slower* than the normal IDE interface. As RRLedford is so fond of telling us (and IMO he's absolutely right) get a decent Promise PCI HDD controller card. hahahah!!!! :lol: :lol...
