if you flash bios, it is supposedly sould work with the same version of drivers and lower. Lower BIOS version, I think, - it did not want to work with higher version drivers, as I remember from my experience. Besides, do NOT use 1.28 drivers under W2k or XP if you love at least a bit your HDD, besid...

Oh yes, you may install drivers in W2k.... You may want to install RU BIOS with 1.28HPT BIOS and 1.28 drivers in W2k - that's for you to hear your HDD making kind of sounds like "head crashing against the bearings inside!!!!!"        ...

GeForce core (GPU) lapping and voltmodding! - FOUND

GeForce core (GPU) lapping and voltmodding! I have finally found one article about it. It is here: http://www.monster-hardware.com/articles/ti4600evolution%201.htm It is not the one I read few days ago, but similar. Though applied lapping techniques differ a bit. So how about BX lapping and pushing ...

use the BLACK IDE ports - the ones which go with the floppy port next to them.

DO NOT use WHITE IDE ports - this is HPT3666  controller and this one may screw your HDD, like it did to mine some time ago - I lost ONLY 50% of data on it.

what do you mean standart controller? IDE-only one? then I would suggest reinstalling one more time.

NEVER use your HDD on HPT3666

guys! don't you just remember that you cannot use two different speed CPUs so easily! :) as multiplyer are locked, what RRLedford likes to repeat :), so each of them will work at their own speed, because of one basic thing: FSB SPEED STAYS THE SAME for BOTH of them, so you will have one working at 4...

I would suggest you to wait like few weeks and see what Derek has to tell us about new adapter from POwerleap, because it would let you run two (or one) PIII Tualatins up to 1.4GHz

It's tempting, I know, to use the HPT3666. After all, it's right there waiting. Thing is, I tested it and found it to be *slower* than the normal IDE interface. As RRLedford is so fond of telling us (and IMO he's absolutely right) get a decent Promise PCI HDD controller card. hahahah!!!! :lol...
