Yes you can install 2K SP3 without being connected to the internet.

As I rull for 2K machines I delete the dll cache folder. There is a reg tweak you have to do to keep it from prompting you about restoring files all the times. It's on regedit.com

Are you talking about 366 or 566?
566 the FC-PGA version. It will do 850 at 1.4v instead of it's stock 1.5v :D

Tell me HAL6000, just where are you finding this hypothetical P3-1100MHz CPU? They are almost nonexistent & the last used one that went on E-Bay sold for $140+!! I'd love to find a $100 P3-1.1Ghz and know that my upgrade was only taking up one socket - so, I could always do the dual P3 modding down...

I have a 1.1Ghz Celeron and was not very impressed with how well it overclocked. However my 566 celly overclocks very well.

Personaly I'd go for the Single PIII instead of the single celeron.

Powerleap will be making a Tualatin s370 adaptor soon. So it'd just be a matter of getting someone to do the Tualatin bios and boom your in buisness with a pair of 1.4S's ;)

You can probably use the video card in the lap tops if they still work. I took my dell apart the other day to see what was in it and the video is a seperate board.

I've ran into that same problem. It comes from a lame oversight on microsofts part. When you go to install 2K or XP you need a place for the setup program to copy files to, and for some dumb reason if you run setup from the prompt (either bootable CD or boot disks) this area must be FAT32 not NTFS....

1280x1024 on my 2 home mahcines and 1600x1200 on my laptop. 16x12 on the laptop isn't to small tho. I guess it has somehtign to do with the fact that a 15" lcd screen is actually 15" viewable.
