I would reinstall Windows before you give up on your board. You may have just corrupted a vital system file while you were overclocking.

Install the SETI commandline version into 2 different folders and run them simultaneously. Then each CPU will have it's own WU to crunch. That way, you'll be crunching 2 units in ~the same time it takes to crunch one.

You can power the fan straight from the PSU using a 3-pin fan to 4-pin Molex adaptor. These can be found at most PC hardware shops and online stores. The downside is that you won't have fan RPM measurement any more. BTW, I power all my fans straight from the PSU rather than through the motherboard h...

I think we should share all the info we can about BP6 components going bad. If it has happened to you, could you list the locations of the failed components, and what revision BP6 you have? Also, if you can identify the manufacturers of the parts that failed it would help, as it seems according to C...

It sounds like a high temperature warning. What is the warning set at in the BIOS? If that is correct, maybe your CPU cooling isn't working properly. Check that all heatsinks are attached correcly and that the fans are working.

I'm sure the reason some can't find Yoichiro's site is that his name is spelled differently every time I see it :?

Hehehehe, yeah, it's a great hack isn't it?

Promise, erm, how shall I say, "strongly advise against" doing the mod. Wonder why that is?

Gabumon: You can turn an Ultra66 into a FastTrak RAID controller with a bit of soldering and a BIOS flash.

I did the procedure myself a couple of years ago and it really does work, although you'll be voiding your warranty.

The i440BX chip was originally meant to be run at 100MHz. It was so good that they found it could handle 133MHz. Running dual CPUs increases the strain on the BX, so it's harder to reach 133MHz on the BP6 running SMP procs. Holodeck2 had 2x366s running at 733MHz (133MHz FSB) using watercooloing, TEC...

Find an old ISA video card, and boot your BP6 with no other cards. You should then see enough sign of life to be able to flash the BIOS.
