They collected donations (both money and hardware) from their community and built a monster SETI crunching machine and kept adding to it. Just a thought. I thought we tried to do this a few times but could never could enough people interested in it. Looks like I will be moving to NJ with my sister ...

Well at this point tryin tot get that many bp6's would be the hard part. At my old job I had lots of celeron 400 and 433's running on abit ZM6's. You can spend a lot of money on one fast system or a little on a crapload of older slower systems. :)

I have no idea what that says :)

But in any matter I am looking at a 2.8Ghz P4 with 800 FSB for x-mas. Maybe 3Ghz if the price goes down enough.

I thought it was neat and everything but for how i work I really just need multi monitors and be able to move stuff between them. Something like 6 screens would do me. Then again is each was its own desktop I could switch between just like having multi monitors that would be spiffy.

I think I could run Windows off of 4Gigs of RAM, no? :P More the 2GB does not really do much. I had a machine loaded up with 16GB once. All it was good for was setting ...

I like stereo stuff too. We played with it a lot in my electronic classes. building amps and such as well.

I use AWG 12 for all of my speaker wirign and AWG 8 for my subs. Even though I'm not pushing more then 200 watts to each.

Yes, I know what the word overkill means and.... I like it

I bought soem of those. Not done very well when I got them out of the box. I had to put solder on some of the sports they missed. At least I guess they did as neither one was the same. But they worked after I did that.
