I just noticed they finaly fixed the bug of it not showing the MP3 icon for mp3 files. At one time I had extracted the icon and had windows assign it. That an the larger playlists make it just about everything I could ever want. Now if I could run mpg, avi, mov, and other video formays though it I w...

Oh well probably best for me, really didn't need anymore systems around the house. ;) Did you use Linux on that board? Wondering how good Linux does with the SW USB controller since I picked up a Thunder 2500 eariler. I imagine I did at some point in time but I have never used anything other then a...

What happened to version 4? lol

This looks like they started with 2.91 and went form there instead of building on version 3.

I could use it. It builds playlists much faster then 2.91 does and can actually build a playlist wiht mroe then 27,000 entries.

Every so often there is a hicup when it grabs the stats page fomr the seti website. If you see some error wait an hour and go to the page again. It will update for you in no one else has yet been there and forced it to update. If no one views the page in a given day the only tiem it will update is a...

Re: Celeron Voltage

What is the absouloute highest voltage i can run a celeron 466 at? What is the minimum FSB speed (on the bp6) at which the 1/3 divider is used insted of 1/2? Most abit boards can do a neat trick. If you flash the bios when your voltage is set to 2.3v that becomes the "default voltage" I do not know...

Building the team a seti farm.

So there has been talk of building some seti farms and I figured I would stick there here so we could keep track of it. For this to work we will need the following. People willing to donate space and electricity to running the farm(s). People willing to donate CPU's, motherboards, ram, power supplie...

I thought I read more L2 cache is great for SETI (:?:) Yes that is what I am saying. The 1.4Ghz underclocked to 1050mhz, 100mhz bus, 512k cache is faster then a 1ghz, 133 bus, 256k cache. My plan was to get slocket converters and another 1.4ghz p3 and run them on my Asus P3C-D with 1GB of rambus. :...

P3-S 1.4Ghz chips are still about $200. I am currently using my 1.4 with only a 100mhz bus so it is running 1050mhz and it pumps out more wu's then a 1ghz pp3 with a 133 bus. Must be that 512k of L2 cache ;)
