reset cmos.. fixed harddrive error as such but... pulled off the HDD LED pins and keyboard restored. The old HDD LED was 3 pin wide, whereas new case is 2 pin wide. So it must of been shorting the keyboard lock. Anyways, all up and away now. Thanks for the great site. BP6 lives another day... 6 year...

hey guys, I realise this is an old post... I have come back from overseas and my friend needed a new pc so he bought the harddrive and new case and I just transplanted my bp6 into it. 2x p3's running at 600mhz on 100mhz bus. I did the P3 mods... so resistors and capacitors and removed pins etc.... w...

I'm running D-link 624 with 2.53 drivers. Laptop has DWL-G650 with the newest atheros 4.xxxx drivers. I had success with the 3.xxx drivers but haven't had enough time to work on the 4.xxx drivers which support XR (eXtended Range)... I run my dual p3 bp6 off the wired side of the D-Link so I can get ...

mm.. there's definitely a bit of performance gain to be had by changing to a native dual p3 board. however, i'm running dual p3s in my bp6 atm, so the next step is something up. seems everything is a bit more pricey then I want to spend to get over the dual 1GHZ mark.. thanks for everyones suggestio...

Latest SMP Offerings

I've had my BP6 running dual 800s @ 600mhz (100bus), and have started doing a bit of video editing via adobe premiere.

I need/want something more grunty, and still like dual cpu systems.

Any recommendations for the latest "bp6" cheap&powerful deal?

Cool.. thanks guys. It seems stable at 92mhz bus at the moment.. it's been running all night on various tasks... CPU's hit 36 and 39... so that's cool. Got the case off at the moment, but I want to put it back on, so i've got some car stereo bendy straps, so I'll put a fan up by the cdrw and hook th...

Cool. Ok.. I took the mobo out, cleaned it all out with compressed air. Cleaned out the fans too, and they spin a good 200rpm more now. One of the fans is definitely a bit noisy.. I think that If I take the sticker off their snout, then i should be able to drop some oil in. My first post was not ver...

North bridge as bluorb on it, again with quite old paste now... silver paste I believe on all. Side of case is off, a...

CPU Voltages Differ?

Just looking through my mbm5 high low page... and the cpu voltages differ by 0.1 Volts!!! In Bios CPUS are 366s @ 75mhz => 412mhz. Voltage stock 2V. CPU 1: 2.03 average...... 2.06 high, 2.02 low. CPU 2: 1.49 average...... 1.54 high, 1.47 low. What is going on here?..... For a good year or so I haven...
