The coppermine celerons.. boy, I gotta say I love 'em! My first BP6 setup came with a 566 in it on an adapter. I also had a 1000 cellie in there, but have since sold that. Hey, that reminds me, I have two 1000 PIIIs around here somewhere.. I hope they are 100fsb ones... although I don't think so. I ...

if you don't feel like installing an OS right away, or maybe don't have the hard drive ready yet to do so, why don't you see if it will boot Knoppix or some other flavor of live linux? Then you may know if it is somewhat stable. If you use bittorrent and have a relatively fast connection, you can do...

Re: nice adapters...
I believe KliK never meant to link the HD adapters... just the Tualatin and the socket 423/478 adapters. We got off on a tangent on the HD PCI adapters.KliK wrote:so for all of you with Celeron (P4 version) problems, Athlon problems and Tualatin problems, just go and see...

which needs FSB133... so when i look at the jumper settings it says "no jumpers b4 thru b9 133MHz" what should i do? I do not unterstand it! Put a wire from B4 to B9 or what? no jumpers B4 through B9 means to leave those unjumpered. Take off the jumper on those pins. What does the jumper block look...

Sounds like the first thing you need is an IT guy :D Everything you need is included with XP Pro, save for the daily backups and the networking. For a business network, I recommend getting a $50 Pentium classic or Pentium II or celeron with 128MB of RAM and two NIC cards and purchasing the commercia...

It actually was straining the motherboard, but not from weight, as the fins are very thin, and the heatpipes do not weigh much, 665 grams (most of the weight is near the base, as there is a copper plate there and a small conventional Al heatsink underneath all of those Al fins. The reason for the st...

The spyware get reinatalled when you shut your machine down or restart (from registry entries). Safe mode is a good way to get most of them wit hspybot search and destroy. If it can't get them all it will ask you if it can run before windows boots on next reboot. It isn't perfect but it gets rid of ...

You only need the channel that the optical drive is on set to auto. If you are not continuously booting from CD (like if you use a live CD such as Knoppix), then once you get your OS installed on the hard drive you can auto detect all the drives. If you ever need to boot from optical again just set ...
