Hey InactiveX - glad to hear you still follow whats going on. My BeOS powered BP6 is still running but I don't do all that much on it any more. As yet I cannot get BeOS to run on my main rig due to more than one hardware issue. Things are getting better though. Haiku should save the day!

Hi InactiveX - I'm still around! How ya doin' old buddy? ;o)

Never thought to try it with Soundplay - funny, I use soundplay an awful lot but cos it can only apply the winamp skins to the main window, I've always kind of ignored that function. Maybe try it later, just out of interest . . .

Like the skin dude - can you do a non-winamp-extension type download though, ie; a zipped folder with the text config files. The reason I ask is that it would be nice if I could use the skin on my Bp6, which is running BeOS and has an app called CL-amp that can use wianmp skins, but not in .wsz form...

The knobs . . .

Glad you enjoyed the pictures guys - Derek, the knobs are for controlling fan speeds. The first two deal with the stupidly loud delta fans I have on the thermoengine cpu coolers, the second two control the front and rear case fans. It's actually a vantec nexus fan controller, I just spray-painted th...

RE: 500's @ 600

Hi Kuun, Sorry I haven't replied to this - I just saw it. I am running ThermoEngine coolers with Delta fans (speed controlled by a Vantec baybus) - I have had to drop back from 600 because the PCI bus gets all excited and my soundcard dies. Also suffered a few mouse lock-ups and intermittent problem...

InactiveX - sure I could do that - thing is I expect he wants to have it on his site - you need to get into BeShare and speak with SDO, ask him what he wants - he'll probs want an HTML file or text file from you. ;o)

ThermoEngine V60-4225 update:

Right, I am a bit happier with my ThermoEngine V60-4225's now - I have managed to curtail the noise by running the fans through a Vantec Nexus front-panel fan speed controller. This is a great unit for a good price (£30) and you can use it to individually control up to 4 separate fans. Each channel ...

both are plugged into molex connectors via RPM leads, they are getting power direct from the PSU. I've read that delta fans can kill the mobo headers on older boards - so that said, they are powered off of the 12v line.

Not a bad idea . . .

hey hyperspace - that idea may well work - slowing on of the fans could change the oscillation effect, and also would give you opportunity to maybe even up the temps of the two cpus as, in my experience at least, one always runs hotter than the other. Anyway, what do you think would be the best way ...

ThermoEngine V60-4225

Well I have got two ThermoEngine V60-4225's on my bp6 now - I am overclocking two celeron 500's @ 562.5mhz (75mhz FSB) - temps seem to settle at around 38 degrees C under full load whereas when I was running stock Intel coolers I was seeing 51 degrees C, so quite a good improvement. I would warn tha...
